We’ve been lucky with dry weather and work continues on our brand new accessible toilet block. It’s rising up quickly and the building’s shape is now readily apparent. The facility is located at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre close to the heritage bus garage and model railway building.
It will have gents and ladies toilets and for the first time at the centre, decent fully wheeled access toilets plus a family baby change room. We still need to raise around £5000 to complete the building and get it in use.
Since work began in earnest your donations have continued to flow too. Thanks very much for helping make this long held ambition a bricks and mortar reality. If you’re reading this and would like to contribute, every pound does matter.
All being well, we hope to have the new block open during December, for our thousands of visitors heading for the Jingle Bells Express. Thank you for your support.
We’d like to thank the following funders:
UK Shared Prosperity Fund (via Rushcliffe Borough Council), East Midlands Airport Community Fund, East Midland Railways Community Fund, the Friends of the Great Central Main Line and you, for your very generous donations.
